Privacy Policy

Updated: 4th of June, 2026

'Purgatory' and 'Purgatory Demo', in and of the packages themselves, do not collect any optional data from the user. 'Purgatory' has a built-in extension, unique to each platform, that only collects data that the game specifies to send to the respective service. As an example, 'Purgatory', when downloaded on Steam, comes with GameMaker Studio 2's official Steam Extension. As of this time in development, this is exclusively used to:

1). Communicate with Steam throughout the game's runtime to ensure the Steam Client is running and that the host machine is permitted / owns the game, in which other case it will close.

2. Transfer save data to Steam, allowing them to enable specific use cases, like achievements.

No data is collected on the machine's local user, other applications, system properties, or even your chosen service profile (like your Steam account).

While myself and my products do not collect any non-game related data, I have no relation to the services themselves, and the data that they collect for their own use. I've provided the policies of the services that my products can be found on, or are intended to be future release markets.
